To access the MPS Service Learning Database, please follow the following instructions:

.)     Click on the Service Learning Database icon – this appears as a black silhouette of a person reading a white book.

.)     A new screen will pop up. Do not worry about logging in. Instead, in the middle of the screen is a button labeled “Login as a guest.” Click here (you will have full use of the database under this access, don’t worry).

.)     You will move to a screen that says “Service Learning Database” on it in the upper left corner of the screen. Do NOT Click the “miscellaneous” link under course categories. This will take you to a different part of the site that won’t lead to the database. Instead, in the upper left of the screen (to the left of miscellaneous) is “main menu. Under that, is a linked called “Service Learning Database.” Please click here.

.)     You are now inside of our database. You will be looking at a list of the projects currently posted onto the database. If you are new here, please go to the project titled “Service Learning Project application Template.” This is not a true project like the others, but instead will have instructions of what you should put inside fields when adding your own project(s) to the database.

.)     You can browse the projects freely, and to see detailed information on it click the very little magnifying glass icon on the project you would like to learn more about. It is located on the teal colored strip, next to the “date added.”

.)     If you’d like to add an entry (and please make sure you read the Service Learning Project application Template first), click the “add entry” tab at the top of the list of projects you currently are viewing. This will take you to a page with a fill-able form where you can input information about your project. If you need to edit this, at the very bottom of your entry (in detailed look mode, which again you access by clicking the small magnifying glass) there is a little “x” and a hand with a pencil. The “x” will delete your entry so don’t click that. Instead, click on the hand with the pencil to edit.
