Clationary

Purpose:  Enhance participant’s ability to communicate and problem solve as a group.

Materials:

1.    Play Dough – enough for every 4-6 people

Activity:  Provide a small container of Play Dough to each group of 4-6 people.  Each small group chooses someone to start out as the modeler.  The group facilitator provides the group modelers with a topic.  The modelers race back to their groups and sculpt the word or phrase. The sculptures are not allowed to talk.  Each group is sculpting the same topic simultaneously.  The first team to shout the correct answer wins that round.  Round 2 begins when another topic is given to the 2nd modeler from each group.

Variation:  make the activity to become a group challenge to see how long it takes for all of the groups to guess the answer
